KAPRB is a community based non profit organization.  The purpose of the organization is to promote, encourage and supervise recreational activities in the Borough of Kennett Square and the adjoining areas of Kennett, East Marlborough and New Garden Townships.  In the past the board has consisted of up to 16 directors.  At this time there are 11 directors and 1 Recreational Coordinator, all who reside locally.

In the early 1990’s, in cooperation with the Borough of Kennett Square the KAPRB coed adult softball league moved to Pennock Park with 4 teams.  By 2001 there were 10 teams in the league.  This year the coed league and Sam Tavoni league (now under the umbrella of the KAPRB) will have a total of 16 teams jointly.

Other programs and activities include:  Jr. Basketball league, Men's Softball leagues, Co-Ed Adult Softball Leagues, Summer Camp Program, Boys and Girls Lacrosse programs, soccer clinics, Men's Flag Football and our Summer Cross Country Race.
